From engagement dinners to job interviews to parents’ weekend splurges, New Haven Union League Cafe has been serving up the city’s special occasions for a quarter-century.
As my husband says, it’s got the best room: deep green walls, white-clothed tables, scuffed wooden floorboards, coffered ceiling, massive fireplace and hushed, bow-tied service.
“To say New Haven is better for having the distinct presence of the Union League Cafe these past 25 years would be the appetizer to a full menu of contributions made to our city,” Mayor Harp said.
